For all-staff and people leaders
Gender Fabulous
Untangling sex, gender, identity, and expression, with the patience to do it well.
The conversation about gender is everywhere, and most people have never been given a clean way to talk about it. The very concept of gender as a role distinct from biological sex was only introduced in 1955. This keynote does the untangling, calmly.

Overview
Sex, gender, identity, expression, told as one interconnected story
Most workplaces want to be inclusive of gender-diverse colleagues. Fewer have been given a clean, shared vocabulary to do it with, and fewer still have practised it out loud.
Michael separates the four concepts that get tangled together: biological sex, gender, gender identity, and gender expression. Then he walks through what misgendering actually costs an organization, and what an inclusive workspace for gender-diverse people looks like in practice.
It is the talk for teams that want to do this well, and want to be told what doing it well actually looks like.
